Hips and Knees
Our assessment starts at the hips, this may seem strange for a specialist of the foot but we will explain. For us to apply correction at the foot we must first make sure that you have adequate range of motion in your hips to compensate for any change.
If done recklessly without full assessment, it can lead to imbalances and resistance. This can reduce performance and increase risk of injury.

Foot and Ankle
Next we dive into our specialty, the foot and ankle. Here we gauge where to apply the correction and how much. This is based off you the individual, assessing what your body needs and can cope with.
A more mobile and pronated (flat) foot is complimented with greater correction to increase knee alignment while in your pedal strokes. Whereas a rigid and supinated (high arch) foot posture may require less correction with increased pressure distribution. -
Ski Boots
After biomechanics have been assessed we can move onto footwear. This part can be crucial as many issues we see in clinic with riders can be solved simply with a change in footwear.
Most commonly this means a change towards a more accommodating and wider fitting shoe, allowing for relief from numb foot or hot spots. A simple trick is to take out your inner sole from the shoe and place your foot on it, if the sides of your foot hang over then it is likely too narrow! -
3D Scanning
Our equipment utilizes three dimensional scanning to ensure the most accurate capture of your foot. This is vital for cycling to facilitate maximal arch contour, thus increasing the efficiency of your force transfer to the pedal.
